The work to reinforce the lighting and electrification of the Campo da Feira promoted by the City Council has been completed and represents an improvement in the conditions and safety of the space.
The work involved reinforcing the lighting throughout the space and installing new electricity points for the fairgoers, which will allow them to power their electrical equipment, such as the weighing scales.
The works, which took place over the last two months, create better conditions for market traders and customers, but also greater safety for those who use the space as a car parking area.
‘These are significant improvements in terms of modernising the space for those who sell and buy here, but also in terms of security with the very noticeable reinforcement of the lighting,’ says the mayor, Mário Passos.
The project involves a municipal investment of 166,000 euros.
