"On Saint Martin’s Day, bread, nuts and wine", we started November with emphasis on Meat with Chestnuts in the initiative of Dias à Mesa between 10 and 13 November. The tradition is to roast the chestnuts and drink the new wine, produced with the previous summer harvest. The use of chestnuts in the confection of other products, as well as the use of other nuts, is the epigraph of this event. Versatility is not lacking in this chestnut fruit, which has been part of our diet since time immemorial.
