TECMEAT, Agri-Food Competence Centre for the Meat Sector, in partnership with Colab4Food, PortugalFoods and the Municipality of Famalicão, will hold on 27 September, at Casa das Artes de Vila Nova de Famalicão, the MEAT MEETINGS'22 conference, an initiative that aims to be a point of sharing and debate for various stakeholders in the agri-food industry, focusing on the meat segment.
This event will bring together several national and international entities, in a conference where topics such as industrial symbiosis, by-product transformation, circular economy, MEAT 4.0, automatic quality control systems, revolutionary new products, among others, will be explored.
The programme includes a range of speakers from institutions such as ETSA, Soja de Portugal, Portugalfoods, Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Tecnologia e Ciência (INESC TEC), Introsys, Colab4Food - Collaborative Laboratory for Innovation in the Agro-Food Industry, Deloitte Portugal, LOOP, Cell4Food, Zyrcular, Eat Just Inc.
In addition to the panels of speakers, MEAT MEETINGS'22 aims to be a networking event between the entities present, as well as a point for sharing national and international experiences, in a competitive integration with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of the agri-food sector at national and international level.

TECMEAT is a centre focused on research, development and promotion of the meat industry, which is located at CIIES - Centre for Research, Innovation and Higher Education of Vila Nova de Famalicão, in Vale São Cosme. This is a non-profit association, created in 2020, which aims to boost the increase of competitiveness and innovation of producing and processing companies in the meat sector, through scientific and technological development. In addition to the involvement of the famalicense municipality, TECMEAT has as founding partners: universities and polytechnics, other technology centres and business associations.
