As usual, young university students living in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, aged 30 or under, have one month to apply for the scholarships promoted by the municipality. Applications can be submitted between
15 October and 15 November.
To apply, students in Higher Education, Technological Specialisation Courses (CET) or Technical and Higher Professional Courses (CTeSP) must have lived in the municipality for more than three years and must be attending their first bachelor's degree, their first master's degree, their first CET or their first CTeSP, regardless of the educational establishment (public or private).
Applicants must belong to a household whose monthly per capita income does not exceed 60 per cent of the national minimum wage in force. Students must also not have assets worth more than 240 x IAS (€102,936) on 31 December of the year prior to the start of the academic year.
In order to submit an application, those interested must gather a set of documents, such as a household composition certificate, proof of enrolment, IRS or IRC declaration, pay slip, among others.

It should be noted that last academic year, the municipality handed out more than 400 scholarships, totalling 258,000 euros, the most ever. The municipality has been supporting higher education students for over ten years.
