Vilarinho das Cambas is about to have a leisure park. The new community space, which is integrated in a forest area with recreational and leisure equipment, is in the budgeting phase and the works will start at the end of the first quarter of 2023, on a plot adjacent to Rua do Monte, next to the football field.
The park will have an area of 9,500m2 and will include an amphitheatre, which takes advantage of the modelling of the land, a picnic area, a zone with fitness equipment and a fenced area destined for the scouts group of the parish, which includes a small support building.
"This is an investment in the quality of life and well-being of the people of Vilarinhenses. A long-awaited project for the parish" said the Mayor, Mário Passos, during his visit to the parish under the tour Presidency of Proximity. The visit to Vilarinho das Cambas, yesterday afternoon, marks the resumption of the presidential initiative that suffered a pause during the festivities period.
Accompanied by the executive of the Parish Council, led by Judite Costa, the Mayor visited several arteries of Vilarinho das Cambas, including the National Road 309, the old municipal road, which is being the target of widening works, paving and placement of pavements, because of a municipal investment of around 200 thousand euros.
The mayor also took the opportunity of the visit to Vilarinho das Cambas to talk with representatives of the community, in a fruitful exchange of views that took place in the late afternoon at the headquarters of the parish council.
It is recalled that the Proximity Presidency program started in March last year, in Carreira and Bente, having already passed through about 27 parishes and unions of parishes of the famalicense municipality, in a presidency philosophy 'beyond doors', in which the mayor collects opinions and contributions of the population, in an exercise of open and inclusive municipal management.
