The school groups Camilo Castelo Branco, Gondifelos, D. Sancho I and Ribeirão were distinguished by the Portuguese Psychologists Order for the "good practices of psychological health, educational success and inclusion" implemented in their schools and received the seal "Healthy SchoolMind".
The distinction made to four of the seven school groupings of the famalicense territory reflects the bet on the promotion of psychological health, with educational policies and practices that demonstrate a strong and effective commitment to the promotion of cognitive, emotional, social and career development, learning, inclusion and psychological health of the entire school community. An example of this is the "Playing to Be" programme, which has been running for some years in Famalicão schools, promoted by the City Council within the scope of the promotion of mental health and the development of social and emotional skills of 1st cycle students.
The Seal "Healthy SchoolMind" is awarded by the Portuguese Psychologists' Association, which this year distinguished 349 institutions, in compliance with a set of criteria that aim at increasing the opportunities to access a quality education, equitable and inclusive, through the encouragement and dissemination of policies and good practices regarding the promotion of psychological health, well-being and educational success in Portuguese schools.
