The City Council of Vila Nova de Famalicão wants to get the families of Vila Nova de Famalicão moving and invites them for an afternoon of physical exercise in "BeActive em Família". The initiative, promoted by the City Council under the European Week of Sport, will take place on September 24, Saturday, between 15h00 and 18h00, in Devesa Park.
Sport and health are the key words of this free activity and will feature five spaces.
"BeSports", a space for the promotion and experimentation of sports activities (cycling, badminton, para badminton, airbadminton, chess, athletics, rugby, boccia, football and volleyball, volleyball and handball);
"BeRadical", with the promotion of radical activities (slide, inflatables, zorb ball and military route);
"BeStreet", a space dedicated to street games, with a Street Basket 3x3 tournament (with registration at
www. famalicaodesportivo.pt);
"BeMove", with the promotion of group classes, with functional gymnastics for seniors (15h00), dances (16h00) and pilates (17h00) and, finally,
"BeHealthy", a cardiovascular and body composition evaluation station.
The day ends with a night run and walk - the
"BeActive Night". The event, promoted by the Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth, has a distance of 5 kilometres. The start for the run or walk is scheduled for 21:00, in Devesa Park, next to the CITEVE car park. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory until September 21 in
