Iago Fernández, Galician musician internationally recognized, has done a Jazz na Aldeia residency in September 2021, already held with the aim of working on his repertoire and expanding the range of musicians who will be part of the EJE, which aims to become a professional organization to continue to disseminate the Galician and Portuguese jazz. This concert will give rise to a new record by the Eixo do Jazz Ensemble (EJE), continuing the project started in 2019 with Mário Laginha. Iago Fernández has made drums his main means of artistic expression, playing and recording with numerous artists since the age of 17. Since the age of 22 he has been writing his own music. Iago has recorded several solo albums and in his fourth album he included for the first time his own songs with lyrics in Galician. The EJE, is made up of musicians selected by the Eixo do Jazz and Diego Alonso. This year it will record another repertoire by João Paulo Esteves da Silva.
