Capitão Fausto, cult band of the national scene, is the protagonist of another concert at sunset in the Parque da Devesa. Consisting of five intrepid Portuguese musicians, Tomás, Salvador, Francisco, Manuel and Domingos, the band will perform next Friday, August 12, at 19h00, by the lake in the city park as part of Devesa Sunset. The concert is free admission.
After performing at the Coliseum of Lisbon and Porto, where they celebrated the 10 years of the debut album, "Gazela" (2011), Capitão Fausto "step" the Devesa Sunset in a concert that will revisit their complete work. The band has four original albums: "Gazela" (2011), "Pesar o Sol" (2014), "Capitão Fausto Têm os Dias Contados" (2016) and "A Invenção do Dia Claro" (2019).
Recall that last year, Capitão Fausto were present at the 7th edition of Ymotion - Famalicão Youth Film Festival, with an intimate concert at the Centro de Estudos Camilianos, in Seide, a performance that also involved a conversation around their latest work, "Sol Posto", a concert film by Ricardo Oliveira and Capitão Fausto, which passed through cinemas in 2020.
The Devesa Sunset, existing since 2015, takes place every Friday in August, at the end of the day. The year 2022 marks the return of the initiative to its original format, after two years inserted in the program of summer socio-cultural animation of Famalicão, ANIMA-TE. Until the end of the month will also tread the stage of Devesa Sunset, Mimi Froes, on August 19, and to close this year's edition, on 26, the folk duo, Golden Slumbers.
